Analog Devices Inc. (ADI), a global semiconductor leader, is celebrating 50 years of operations in Ireland, marking a significant milestone for its Limerick campus, which has grown from a small 13-person operation in 1976 into a major European center for research, development, and manufacturing.
The company, which operates facilities in Limerick, Dublin, and Cork, now employs more than 2,000 people across Ireland, with over 1,800 based at its Raheen Business Park campus in Limerick. To mark the anniversary, the Metropolitan District of Limerick presented ADI with a commemorative scroll recognizing its longstanding contribution to the local economy and technology ecosystem.
As part of the milestone celebrations, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Simon Harris visited the campus and officially opened ADI’s new €100 million Catalyst facility, a state-of-the-art innovation and collaboration hub.
Harris praised the company’s growth and impact, stating that the Limerick campus has evolved into a global center of innovation, with more than 1,700 patents originating from employees with Irish addresses.
“From a single decision to invest here back in 1976, ADI has grown into a global semiconductor leader,” Harris said. “This campus is not just a site of production. It is a centre of global innovation.”
The milestone comes as ADI continues to strengthen its presence in Ireland. The company is actively participating in the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2026 in the United States, where it is showcasing advancements in RF and microwave technologies, including integrated sensing and communications (ISAC), phased-array beamforming, and high-performance signal chain solutions.
Analog Devices, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker ADI, reported revenue of more than $11 billion in its fiscal year 2025. The company specializes in analog, digital, AI, and software solutions that support advancements in automation, mobility, energy, data centers, and healthcare.
