Konvu, an AI-native vulnerability management platform, has won the inaugural Cyber Startup Award at Infosecurity Europe 2026, the continent’s largest information security event.
The award, introduced this year in collaboration with UK Cyber Flywheel, aims to spotlight high-potential cybersecurity startups and support the next generation of innovators in the rapidly evolving security landscape. The winner was announced on June 3 at ExCeL London during the three-day event.
Five promising cybersecurity startups reached the final stage after a global competition. The finalists included Cytidel (vulnerability intelligence), Datambit Limited (deepfake detection), Ploy (agentic access intelligence), and RedCarbon (Security Operations Centre alert management). Each company delivered a live pitch to a panel of senior industry leaders, investors, and buyers.
Shlomo Kramer, CEO and co-founder of Cato Networks, who served as one of the judges, praised Konvu’s vision.
“I think the new frontier models are going to bring a revolution over the next year… Security teams will still need to do the same jobs they do today, but they’ll need to do them 100 times faster and at 100 times the scale,” Kramer said. “What stood out about the award winner was the strength of their vision.”
Lucas Masson, CEO of Konvu, expressed gratitude for the recognition.
“We’re building AI agents that help drastically speed up the vulnerability management process — automatically and autonomously investigating and remediating vulnerabilities,” Masson said. “The timing is right. The window between discovery and exploitation is collapsing, and Konvu cuts the load off security teams.”
The judging panel also included Mun Valiji, founder of the UK Cyber Start-up program and Group CISO at Close Brothers, and Kirsty Kelly, Group CISO at CFC insurance provider.
The prize package awarded to Konvu includes a free exhibition stand at Infosecurity Europe 2027, expert PR support from Origin Communications, and a brand consultancy workshop with Dusted.
Growing Focus on Cybersecurity Innovation
Infosecurity Europe’s new Cyber Startup Programme reflects the event’s increasing emphasis on supporting early-stage innovation. The programme features a dedicated Cyber Startups Zone on the exhibition floor, tailored conference sessions, live competitions, and extensive networking opportunities for founders, investors, and ecosystem players.
The initiative comes at a time when the cybersecurity industry faces mounting challenges from sophisticated threats, including faster vulnerability exploitation driven by advanced AI models. Startups like Konvu are gaining attention for offering automated, intelligent solutions to help organizations keep pace with evolving risks.
